About
Volney Morgan & New-Ye
Multi-Award winning group Volney Morgan & New-Ye burst onto the gospel scene with their electrifying stage presence,
vibrant dance moves, rhythmic sounds and heartfelt performances. A British group who can stand shoulder to shoulder with
the American greats, New-Ye brought together a group of friends from North London who had big voices and great passion,
led by the high-energy and incredibly gifted vocalist, writer and front-man Volney Morgan.
Their journey has since led them to become MOBO Award and UK Entertainment Award winners, feature at the BBC
Proms and have their records played on national and international radio including BBC Radio 1 Xtra and BBC Radio 4.
Hand-picked by Stormzy for his A Very Merky Christmas concert, New-Ye are no strangers to sharing stages with legends
such as Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, Michelle Williams, Matt Redman and Cece Winans. The first British Gospel Act to be
the Gospel Headline at Big Church Festival this year, Volney Morgan & New-Ye have headlined festivals and toured all over
the world, appearing on national TV in many different territories and have even featured in films for the BBC.
The Deluxe version of their debut album ‘Focus’ went straight to #1 in the UK iTunes Christian & Gospel Charts. ‘Focus
Deluxe’ not only gave its listeners something to dance to but something to reflect on and in its own way reflected part of the
journey and history so far for the group and leader Volney Morgan. The album also included their first international feature,
U.S Gospel Artist and Stellar Award winner Micah Stampley on the fan favourite ‘What A Mighty God’. Following this Volney
Morgan & New-Ye had the privilege of sharing the stage with US Gospel Artist Travis Greene in his first live concert in the
UK. heir latest EP ‘Crossover (Live)’ was released early 2021. After the unexpected worldwide occurrences of 2020 this EP
was a response of thanksgiving to say we have made it, with all that has happened God has kept us and we are crossing
over into another year.
Most recently Volney Morgan & New-Ye worked with Apple Inc’s record label Platoon and released a single entitled ‘I Still
Believe’ as a celebration to Gospel Heritage. The success of this single led to the group being chosen to perform in front of
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook from the United States.
Volney Morgan & New-Ye are currently wrapping up their 4th EP in the studio due to be released later this year and with
their innovation and boldness, they continue to make a noticeable impact on Gospel Music throughout the world.
