Debbie Ramsay – Commissioning Editor, Channel 4 News and Current Affairs
Debbie Ramsay is a Commissioning Editor within News and Current Affairs at Channel 4 and the launch editor for the new youth strand. Untold tells stories of 16-34-year-olds across the UK in all their glorious diversity in an unflinching, informative way.
Previously Debbie worked as a senior leader in BBC News as the Executive Editor in charge of commissioning original journalism across the UK, as Head of Journalism/Editor at Radio 1 and 1Xtra Newsbeat and as a senior advisor on the Director General’s Senior Executive Group and the BBC News Group Board. She has mentored and continues to mentor many journalists. Outside of work she sits on the Prison Radio’s Association Board of Trustees as vice chair.
