Muki Kulhan

Chief Innovation Officer, XR Producer & Creative Technologist

Muki is a multi-award-winning Executive XR/MetaTech Producer with over two decades of pioneering interactive, immersive experiences for music, sport, entertainment & broadcasting.

A regular SXSW advisor and judge for the Innovation Awards, in 2022 Muki was named on LinkedIn as one of the ‘Top 20 Women in the Metaverse’, and at AWE EU she celebrated a prestigious Auggie Award with the EDM music composer VR tool Patch XR (Start-Up to Watch) with whom she’s been an Advisory Board member since 2018.

Current and recent XR clients include A-list brands like Red Bull and Paramount, as well as music and sport tech start-ups. Muki is also the Innovation Co-Lead for the IBC Accelerators Media Innovation Programme, leading media &; broadcasting consortiums to develop groundbreaking R&D solutions for industry-focussed challenges in 6DoF Spatial Audio, Volumetric & Virtual Production, 5G XR Sport, Synthetic Humans, Real-Time 3D Assets, Web3/Blockchain and more.

During lockdown, with the National Gallery & PlaylinesAR she Exec’d and launched the critically acclaimed “Art of London: Augmented Gallery” LBE app, and in 2019 the spatial audio drum’n’bass hit Harry Shotta’s ‘Consequences’ with support from BoseAR, which was awarded the headline experience at Raindance Immersive, Digital Catapult’s Surroundscapes, and won the Innovation in Storytelling Prize runner-up at Future of Storytelling (FoST) in NYC.

Previously, after ten years in the ‘00s of launching MTV’s first digital interactive platforms, Muki went on to Executive Produce for scores of other A-List titles like BBC The Voice UK, which included “The Virtual Voice’, BBC’s first-ever series of 360°VR “way back” in 2015.

A familiar face in the global XR &; music tech scenes, Muki sits on several Advisory Boards, Juries and Committees, and is an in-demand Keynote Speaker, MC and Moderator, including: SXSW, Abbey Road Studios Spatial Audio Forum, Future Music Forum, BIMA Pro, SportsPro/Ignition, Audio Engineering Society, VR Awards, Women in Immersive Tech, Soho Media Club, XRSI/Cyber XR Coalition, and is a regular contributor to tech papers, standards and thought leadership publications.
